Midsummer Wild Medicine Walk
Public · Hosted by Edwina Hodkinson; Consulting Medical Herbalist and GAPS Practitioner
Midsummer. the days are longer and the flowers are in full bloom. Moses gate is a great place to do a herbwalk as there are many medicinal plants growing here as well as the enjoyment of an evening in a local country park with lodges full of swans, geese and other wild birds. Wild Medicine walks are a great opportunity to learn about local, seasonal, medicinal plants, meeting them where they grow. Learn how to identify plants, what they are used for and how to make medicines with them. We will be working with Meadowsweet, Mugwort, Purple Loosetrife, White Deadnette, Burdock, Valerian, self heal, Lime blossom and many more plants. There will be a guided tea tasting to connect with a plant in a deeper way.
The cost of this herb walk is £13. Numbers are limited to 16 so booking via paypal is essential. Cancellations made 48 hours before the start of the course will not be refunded.

About Bolton Green Umbrella
Bolton Green Umbrella was formed in August 2016 when a small number of like-minded people talked about how encouraging and motivating it was that we had at last discovered each others existence.
For years each of us had been despairing of the deterioration we saw in our town; the loss of the pride in one's own community that used to exist. That's the spirit we want to recover in our town.
Our cornerstone is to act as an umbrella organisation which recognises and supports volunteer and community groups who look after the environment in Bolton. We seek out these groups and like-minded individuals to form a network that promotes our aim of making Bolton a cleaner and greener town for all its residents. We work together to restore pride in our town, and take responsibility for our own back yard.
