The Hive is located within Moss Bank Park. It's a place where people are connected with nature through a range of events & activities for all the family.

We have a number of volunteering opportunities, whether you would like to join our Mudpack group to help maintain and conserve the site, or help with our events and visitor engagement.

Based within Bolton's iconic Moss Bank Park, The Hive offers a unique space, made up of a series of gardens adorned with natural play equipment.
Designed with pre-schoolers and the under seven's in mind, The Hive encourages young people to make lasting connections with nature through creative play. Features such as our restored mud kitchen, colourful sensory garden, magical willow domes and new water play installation will inspire young minds.
The Hive is open every Wednesday- Sunday so families can enjoy our natural play experiences throughout the week.
