We cover the whole of Bolton and provide for girls and women to take part in activities and trainings including taking care of the environment.
We have a large garden space that the girls can enjoy and would like to create a bug hotel so that the girls can further understand their environment.

The application process was very clear and easy to follow. The funding has been spent on purchasing plants to put into the grounds of the Girl Guide Headquarters at Shepherd Cross Street and a rubbish bin for litter. We are at the beginning of a journey to make our premises more open and engaged with the local community. We are involving community groups in planting activities to develop this engagement.

We have as yet been unable to complete our project of planting bulbs, seeds etc at and around our guide headquarters on Shepherd Cross Street due to the fact we have not been allowed to meet and use the building.
We as adults could do the planting but as it was meant to be a child centred approach we have been waiting until the girls are allowed back.
We obviously still have the money and I could go and purchase what we require in readiness if that's alright
