The grant received from Bolton Green Umbrella has been used to support a range of projects, including the much-needed bench pictured.
This was needed to replace one that was sadly vandalised....
When were founded in 2014 we were simply call Bolton Men in Sheds. Then
other groups were set up by Bolton at Home, with very similar sounding
names. So, to avoid any ambiguity we adopted a Constitution, opened a bank account
and became Seven Acres Men in Sheds.

SAMIS (Seven Acres Men in Sheds)
Seven Acres Men in Sheds is a group that was set up by Bolton at Home in 2014.
We started off in the workshop of the Wildlife Trust building on Bury Road but are now at St Chad's church in Tonge Fold
we are now a stand-alone, fully constituted group of guys who meet every Thursday from 10:00 - 15:00.
There's a huge range of skill-sets within the group and we enjoy making a wide range of things - often to do with nature (bird feeders, nesting boxes etc.)
We are particularly keen to address the problem of social isolation so, if you fancy dropping by one day for a cuppa and a chat you will get a warm welcome
