We are a group of residents on the Hunger Hill Estate who are concerned for the welfare of our children. They have no parks nearby and have to play on the streets which causes a problem with residents and traffic alike. We have a big field at the back of us which is overgrown and not suitable at the moment. Our aim is to clear this back field and put in play equipment to allow the children to play there and be safe. We would like to put in a mini football pitch a skate park and various other play equipment.
We started this group two months ago and with the help of our Councillor Bernadette Eckersley-Fallon we are moving slowly towards our aim. At the moment there are 6 of us but hopefully as people see the progress we make we are hoping to get more people on board.
The field is very big and so as the work progresses we are hoping to hold events to bring the community together
