Full Description:

The Friends of Seven Acres have been going since 2003. We are local residents who came together to promote Seven Acres country park as a wildlife haven and an important resource for people living in Breightmet and Tonge, as well as for the wider community of Bolton. The site has since been designated as a local nature reserve because of its importance for wildlife.

We meet weekly, every Friday, except the last Friday of every month. Working under the supervision of the Wildlife Trust we carry out conservation work on Seven Acres Local Nature Reserve. Some of the work is quite physical (repairing fences, coppicing trees, litter-picking etc.) but each volunteer is encouraged to as much (or as little!) as they want.

There are usually 6-8 in the group on a Friday but, being a friendly, social bunch we always looking to meet new people.

Volunteering opportunities:

Day for activity: Friday
Time of day: All day
