The Society's objectives are to restore, reconstruct, preserve, maintain and improve the Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal and towpath from Hall Lane Basin, Little Lever down the River Valley to the River Irwell at Middlewood in Salford, to Church Wharf in Bolton, and to Bury Bridges in Bury.

The Society’s objectives are to restore, reconstruct, preserve, maintain and improve the Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal and towpath from Hall Lane Basin, Little Lever down the River Valley to the River Irwell at Middlewood in Salford, to Church Wharf in Bolton, and to Bury Bridges in Bury.

We meet monthly on the second weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month to clear, maintain and improve the canal, towpath and surrounding areas.

The Society work with Bolton, Salford and Bury Councils, Canal and River Trust and Watson Homes in the Restoration Partnership to achieve the vision for the MB&B Canal –

• Enjoyed by as many people as possible, residents and visitors
• Provide a catalyst to regenerate the communities and land alongside it
