Full Description:

Eagley Junior School is a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Bolton, educating children aged 7–11 and dedicated to providing a stimulating, supportive, and aspirational learning environment for all pupils.

We run an after – school voluntary litter picking group with children aged 7 – 11, helping keep the local area tidy. We meet once a week for approximately 1.5 hours after school.

The school places high value on the development of the whole child, promoting academic achievement alongside creativity, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and social confidence. With a strong ethos of inclusivity and respect, Eagley Junior School works to ensure that every pupil feels safe, valued, and empowered to succeed. The school has an active commitment to outdoor learning, play enrichment, and opportunities that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and independence. Eagley Junior School is currently developing its OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, which aims to transform playtimes into rich, imaginative, and engaging experiences that support physical development, problem-solving, communication skills, and positive relationships. By strengthening play provision and broadening children’s access to creative outdoor resources, the school is enhancing pupil wellbeing and promoting a happier, healthier, and more connected school community. Eagley Junior School also maintains strong links with families, local organisations, and wider community partners, recognising that shared involvement strengthens outcomes for children. The school is committed to continual improvement, opportunity for all, and providing an environment where pupils flourish both academically and personally.
