We are excited to share that Bolton Green Umbrella is launching a brand‑new Community Tool Hub and Community Allotment at Tonge Moor Allotments. Two friendly, accessible spaces to help people care for nature.
Community Tool Hub
If your group want to improve their local green space but do not have the tools or equipment to get started. The Tool Hub is here to remove that barrier.
Groups can simply get in touch, and borrow tools at no cost. It is a practical way to help people take action straight away, whether that’s planting wildflowers, tidying a local path or creating new habitats for wildlife. By sharing resources, we are reducing waste, supporting small groups and helping more people protect and enhance Bolton’s natural spaces.
Community Allotment
Alongside the Tool Hub, there is a welcoming Community Allotment with small, easy‑to‑manage growing plots. These plots are perfect for anyone who loves the idea of growing their own produce or flowers but might find a full allotment too big or overwhelming.
The allotment is being developed using wildlife‑friendly, organic and sustainable methods. It is a place to learn, grow, relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of nurturing something from seed to harvest.
