Go wild in your garden! Find out more from Rotary Bolton Lever about how to create your very own mini wildlife haven in your outdoor space, however smallĀ
Rotary Bolton Lever are excited to be launching the Big Bolton Wildlife Friendly Garden Competition. We are asking all Bolton residents to do a little bit to support wildlife. Insects such as bees and butterflies, birds and wild creatures such as hedgehogs are struggling to survive and no matter how small your outdoor space you can provide plants and features to help them. You don’t even need a garden – a yard, balcony or even a window box can provide plants for insects and a feeder on the wall will attract birds. You don’t need to spend a lot of money – just a small outlay and some imagination are all that you need. As a bonus you’ll create something you can enjoy too. Come along and speak to us to find out more – request an information pack and collect a free packet of wildflower seeds to start you off (whilst stocks last). Entering the competition is simple: Get tips and ideas from our free information pack. Make some changes to your outdoor space by adding plants and other features Take one or two photographs when it is looking good over the summer. Email your entry to us before 16th August 2026 to be in with a chance of winning a great prize! Entries will be divided into 2 categories – small spaces (yard, patio, balcony, tubs, window boxes) and larger spaces (garden or part of a garden) The competition will be judged by experts from RHS Garden Bridgewater.
Come along to see us on 26th April to find out more!
