Full Description:
Our community group is based at Washacre Estate in Westhoughton.
The primary activity will be gardening. We will create raised flower beds, a remembrance garden, talking benches, sensory garden. We will cook what is grown and this will be eaten communally. We will provide a safe space for those who feel isolated. We will do further engagement work with the community as the project progresses
Groups will meet on a regular basis in due course
We will create a Facebook page etc in due course. Currently we are looking to have a very overgrown piece of land cleared sufficiently so we can begin to prepare that ground for next year.
