Full Description:
We are a sheltered scheme for older people in Horwich, and we have a large community garden, which is well maintained by our residents, with raised beds, a pergola, lots of seating, a mosiaic in the middle, trees and shrubs. It really is lovely and most of our residents come and sit outside to socialise and chat. Most windows from residents flats overlook the garden, and for those that cannot get out, its lovely for them to have something to look at.
We have a once a year garden party, with a singer and entertainment, and we invite friends, family and the local community to attend.
