GERA Grown and Share is a community garden in Kearsley, where people can grow their own food and share any surplus within the community.

GERA Grown and Share is a community garden in Kearsley, where people can grow there own food and share any surplus within the community.

Our current project involves the creation of a Childrens garden and mud kitchen to encourage children and their families to engage with the oudoors inaddition to learning about where food comes from.

We are also creating a medicinal garden growing plants such as Yarrow, Mullein, Self-Heal, Calendula etc to encourage people to learn about and utilise alternative treatments/therapies.

Future projects include the creation of a greenwood working area to build skills and share experience.

Thank you so much for the grant. The application was easy to fill in and the response from Bolton Green Umberella was quick.
