Full Description:
Great Lever Connected (GLC)manage an economically independent community group recognised by all as a positive community asset. GLC create opportunities for individuals to develop and share skills to widen community involvement through volunteering at Slaterfield Community Centre and our Eco Haven Allotment on Ainsdale Road. We aim to deliver a range of bespoke activities from both of our centres and the surrounding area to meet the diverse needs of the community and create a sustainable network that contribute to a cohesive resilient community. GLC explore opportunities to create sustainable employment within and outside of the centre.
We’re a group who want to create opportunities to widen community involvement using volunteering activities devised to meet the needs of the community. We create opportunities for the young, unemployed older people and those with both visible and hidden disabilities throughout Great Lever and the wider Bolton area. We do this by developing projects like our existing Women’s Group, Memory Café, Arts and Crafts Group, Eco Haven Allotment, Sewing Club, Digital Inclusion and Job Club; all projects are aimed at engaging the community and supporting them to access activities
We Believe In Equality and Diversity, Our Door are Open To Everyone!!!
