Full Description:
Harwood Community Garden is work in progress, we have been granted use of half the compound on Longsight park for our project. Once the council have finished clearing out the piles of soil we can set to work laying paths and building raised beds. The Community Garden will DDA accessible, with raised beds for wheelchair access, there will also be beds for growing native species which will then be planted out in community spaces. There will be a community area for local schools to visit to take park in environmental projects, this area will also facilitate outdoor yoga sessions for all genders.
