Bolton News article (click here) says that Bolton Council are to get powers to crush fly-tipping vehicles under a new DEFRA scheme. It would be wonderful if the blight of flytipping is finally taken seriously …. But the article does also say “No extra money is to be made available for the planned crackdown on dumped rubbish, with cash-strapped local authorities to pay for it from existing budgets”… so don’t get your hopes up too high.
