BGU Donation Feedback: Farnworth North
Farnworth NORTH Litter Pickers | Tuesday 09 February 2021 | 0 Comments
Well what can I say, the funding given to the group via Bolton Green Umbrella, which was from the High Street Community Clean Up Fund for volunteers is still banked as the pandemic came and delayed our project.
Doe Hey, part of Harper Green Ward has a green patch on Bradford road opposite Bishops Road. The idea is to get this land a nice area on the main road for commuters and residents. Hopefully a sea of colour. Before the pandemic. The community Payback team kindly assisted, came and cut down the grass, Placed tree bark along the paths. Trimmed trees. The council dealt with Knotweed and the next step was to saturate the land especially along Bradford road, which is the main route from Bolton into Farnworth, with wild flowers and hopefully somewhere to sit. This is still the plan to be carried out as soon as we are able, along with assistance promised from another group. Unfortunately, it is again in need of cutting back again and more tree bark on the paths.
All I can say is Thank You and Watch this space.
