Additionally many businesses have taken our pledge to formally acknowledge that they want to make an important contribution to the community, provide a positive example to others and help to create a cleaner, safer, greener Bolton for all to enjoy.

The Bolton Green Umbrella Pledge
We Will
Reduce, reuse and recycle as much commercial waste as we can
We Will
Carry out litter picks around our own property
We Will
Not allow litter to accumulate outside our premises, or in side alleys, immediately adjacent to our premises
We Will
Promote responsible disposal of litter to our employees
We Will
Provide litter bins in suitable location, where appropriate, and empty them frequently
We Will
Ensure that all our waste is stored securely and it is not allowed to generate litter
We Will
Keep our waste storage area tidy and protect it from vandalism, intruders and pests
We Will
Ensure that anyone we pass our waste on to is legally authorised to take it and we will keep ‘Duty of Care’ documentation
We Will
Put our rubbish out for collection at the scheduled time and not before
