Hi all at Bolton Green Umbrella. Thank you so much for the £200 it really has made a great difference to us at the start of the season. We really appreciate the work that you are doing in the community.
The application process was really straightforward and we were able to complete the application form quickly and easily
We used the funding to purchase some new equipment for our allotments. We purchased some hand tools i.e. forks, trowels, secateurs. Also some garden kneelers, dustpans, brushes, buckets and various sized gloves too. Some long handled brushes, garden forks and a few new saws. We also bought some bird food and feeders to attract wildlife onto the allotments, Bulbs and seeds (vegetables and flowers), seed potatoes and a few more fruit trees to add to our little
orchard area.

We are continuing to develop the allotments and are encouraging the local community to get involved. When myself or the other volunteers are there we are building relationships with people as they walk by and encouraging them to come in and have a look at what we are doing. We are also continuing to build good relationships with other allotment keepers and sharing time and resources with each other when possible e.g. the allotment next to us is having manure delivered tomorrow and they have said we can share this!

We hope that people will come and grow with us and be able to use the fresh produce at home.
