Feedback, BGU donation, MBBC

Here is an update from MBBCS about the benefits resulting from the donation from the High Street Clean-up Fund.
We used the money to improve access and appearance of the footpath from the Church Road, Prestolee to Stoneclough Community Woodland.
The footpath connects this main road in Prestolee to the MBB Canal through a recently restored community woodland.
The resurfacing of the path and pruning overgrowing conifers have made the path easier and more pleasant for local residents. As a result more people in the community are willing to use this route and take exercise, particularly during COVID lockdown periods. The path runs between Prestolee Primary School and the Church so is visible and used by local families and people of all ages. Another benefit is the involvement of Bolton Conservation Volunteers and local people in carrying out these improvements.
This has helped to build pride within the community for their local environment.
Many thanks the Bolton Green Umbrella, Bolton Council and this fund for their financial support.
