BGU Donation Feedback: LoveStoneclough

To update you on the grant we received form Green Umbrella, we had planned to use the £500 grant to powerwash the subways on the roundabout at the Keasley end of St Peters way to get rid of the graffiti on the walls and get rid of the smells from antisocial behaviour. This would have improved the public realm and made it feel less threatening for the people using the subways, When we came to do the work the cost was going to be in the region of £4,000 so we are working with Councilor Julie Patterson to get the remaining amount, or a good proportion of it so we can carry out the jet washing. Once this has been done it will make the volunteers' lives much better as we can keep the subways clean and tidy without having to contend with the smells and dirt we could not shift.
