As part of the Farms for Water project we are currently working to reduce the dominance of Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species which contributes to poor water quality, from our riverbanks in and around woodland and grassland Sites of Special Scientific Interest.


And you can help!! The Big Balsam Bash is a week of action taking place from the 19th to 25th July 2021, where we’ll be working to remove as much Himalayan Balsam from the Irwell Catchment as we can!  Click here to find out more....
