Men in sheds / grow together community group are pleased to have received this funding for improve what was a eyesore and create a better space within the community that was previously used for dumping unwanted waste and being given the opportunity for the two groups to work together as a team learn new skills and increase knowledge with regards to environmental growing and its benefits,  during this project.

The application process was simple, and good communication with help and assistance in the process of registration.

The grant was spent on improving an eyesore by volunteers to create an insect haven for pollinator insects by the purchase of plants shrubs and seeds, to grow more veg in the adjoining community plot and nearby gardens, with majority of supplies by local suppliers,

We have improved the environment in the local community because there has been no recent dumping on the plot as previously the visuality of the plot is now attractive and not an eyesore
It has had a positive effect on our volunteers, both groups have benefited from working together and sharing ideas research on what shrubs and plants are best for encouragement of pollinators for vegetable growing how best to improve the area to encourage people to stop dumping, with benefits both groups learning new skills on the development practically to research of plants and physically working together (Team work well worth doing )
The volunteers are from the local area and the activity has helped with health and well being by the group meeting and learning new skills along with socialising and making decisions of what and how to improve the area
Several people have stopped and said the plot looks a lot better and hopefully will stop others dumping and might encourage the people with dog to stop fouling the main foot path, Manday local resident who uses the rear access on the walkway said it is fantastic and really improves the area hopefully the dumping will stop now and other users and residents of the walkway will appreciate the hard work done.
