Men in sheds is a constituted group open to men and women inclusive of all to come along and take part in activities, meet new friends, share skills and knowledge, support each other combating loneliness, having a set routine and a sense of belonging, commitment ownership and comradeship, increasing your own health and wellbeing or being sign-posted to other community providers
By working on projects you would like to do or make, by being mentored / coached by or more experienced volunteers.
Working on projects either for yourself or for the community, activities tend to be wooden items made from recycled wood donated or collected by members. Projects for the wider community which we are currently doing - bookcases for the town's Family Hubs. Under six early reading for children / community centre notice boards.
We currently share our community plot with Video Box Community growing group and Breightmet Butterflies group which are other community groups
To find us you go up the dirt track at the side of 6 New Lane to the shed.

Men in sheds / grow together community group are pleased to have received this funding for improve what was a eyesore and create a better space within the community that was previously used for dumping unwanted waste and being given the opportunity for the two groups to work together as a team learn new skills and increase knowledge with regards to environmental growing and its benefits,  during this project.

All hard work now completed grondwork by Men in Sheds and GrowTogether groups selection of Annual and pre-Annual plants ready to attract all those polinators for this year crop of vegetables,
The improvments have already gone down well as several passer-bys have commented on the work done.   .
