The Gates Primary School EcoFest

The Gates Primary School is next to Westhoughton Station, they have set up an environmental team of pupils and staff.  On 21 May they held their first Eco Festival, and after-school event with stalls from local environmental and community groups.  They also had a tree-planting event in the school grounds.  We were invited to take one of the stalls, so we turned up with our display board, some small plants and a toy railway station.  The event was well attended, we had visits from the mayor and a former mayor.  Many thanks to Mike Pryle, Geography Teacher and Eco Lead, for organising and inviting us.
