We are a group of volunteers hoping to bring a bit of joy to train passengers at the station. Over the years we have tamed large parts of the station and created a variety of landscapes of flowers, shrubs and anything else we can get to grow there. We have a number of wooden features created by the team members and a fairy garden. We regularly receive donations of plants and other items from the local community and are proud of the many comments of gratitude we receive from passengers on Sunday mornings.
We meet Weekly on Sundays between 10:00 and 12:00.

Many thanks for the grant from BGU, which we will use to buy planters, plants and shrubs to make Westhoughton Station a more beautiful place. Unfortunately we can't do that at the moment because of major works being carried out by train operators.
Network Rail are currently reconstructing the station, this has involved removing most of the trees that covered the embankments each side of the station. As soon as the works are complete we want to start planting to re-create the env More.....
