GPAG (Darcy Lever Gravel Pits Action Group)

Group Logo

GPAG have been around since 2004 and are responsible for the maintenance and prosperity of 27 acres of woodland and ponds in the Darcy Lever area of Bolton.

We carry out all types of woodland and pond maintenance work from litter picking to felling trees, from habitat management to animal surveying, to mention a few.

We usually do voluntary work on Friday and Saturday mornings, along with tasks involving students from a few local schools and events for the local community, like bat walks, pond dipping and our huge Mayday parade.

We are always on the look out for new volunteers and if you are interested, either contact us through our website or message the group through it's Facebook page.
