We undertake path maintenance/clearance which includes improving the environment and litter picking - all our walks and path way maintenance is carried out by volunteers.
We have a varied programme of walks.
WEEKEND WALKS include - Coach Rambles organised for the first Saturday of each month. Shorter Local Footpath Walks, 4-5 miles, using the wealth of footpaths in the Bolton area are organised on the second Sunday of each month. Longer local walks of between 9-12 miles on the 3rd weekend of the month.
MID-WEEK WALKS - each Thursday starting from Horwich Leisure Centre, 4-5 mile walks. On the 3rd Thursday of the month a car ramble. Monday/Tuesday Walks using public transpot, 6-7 miles. Summer evening walks, 5 miles.
EVENTS and PROJECTS - we participate in local events and other Rambler activities, and undertake projects that we feel will benefit fellow walkers in the Bolton area.

Many thanks for the grant of £200 to Bolton Ramblers group.
The volunteer footpath group own a strimmer and a hedge cutter – both of these need a service to remain in good working order. We have contacted a service provider and booked them both in for a service but as they are so busy they could not fit us in till the end of April. The cost of each service will be approx £60.
