We are a group of residents who live in sheltered accommodation at Danesway Court, which is off Hobart Street in Halliwell BL1 3PY.
We got together about 3 years ago to reopen our community lounge after lock down .
We have a Breakfast club every other Saturday, bingo on alternate Saturdays, a brunch club on a Monday.
This year is the first time we desired to replace the old hanging baskets these had not been replanted for years, We also have various troughs dotted around our courtyard, unfortunately we did not have enough money to re plant these.
Our aim is to help to get people out of their homes and stop social isolation,

Six of us went to the garden centre to use the grant we had from Bolton Green Umbrella. We bought new hay racks,4, new perennials and alpines to plant our existing troughs, along with fresh compost and gravel.
The hay racks will be planted with summer bedding along with our hanging baskets. This us helping to bring nei More.....
