Since October 2022, in response to our Junior Church encouraging us to act, and after a lot of prayer, we began our journey to become an Eco Church. On our website you will find all sorts of documents and resources as we go on our journey to live as responsible stewards of God's earth
We have successfully hit bronze with Eco Church!!
In July 2024 we were successful in renewing our Fairtrade membership commitments, and action is ongoing to discuss this further and will be discussed at future Eco Action Group meeting

St Andrew's Methodist Church in Tonge Moor has been awarded "Bronze Eco Status" by charity A Rocha
The change began in May 2022 when children leading a Sunday School Anniversary service urged the church to act on climate change. Within a month, this led to the formation of the Eco Action Group, made up of both children and adults.
