Green improvements at Bishops Road
Harper Green Lovely Environment Group | Thursday 17 October 2019 | 0 Comments
Finally we get green improvements at 'little' Bishops Road. We are delighted with the help of Community Pay Back. In the last two years the green area has had to have all of the grass and shrub grow out as the Council decided a number of green plots in the Borough, very many actually, would not get cut back because of millions of pounds of Council cuts forced upon us.
Residents are really pleased we are getting some improvements. Ms J and Ms R do keep an eye on matters here and help and we are really grateful. Ideally we aim to plant wild flowers. This would be at the land up at Bradford Road as it will look really pretty having wild flowers. Wild flower areas are also known to reduce litter dropping. We have a real problem with litter at this area not helped by the bus stop and cut through walking area. Thank you to Mr B who leads the anti litter campaign here in our area.
