Feedback on BGU Donation: Sunnyside Park

Dear Green Umbrella,
In response to your enquiry, I am delighted to inform you of the excellent work we were able to achieve with the grant funding. With the purchase of an assortment of equipment we were able to gain access to overgrown areas of Sunny-side park and surrounding ginnels that had been stubborn to deal with .

Our initiative to clean the park was a great success initially, but due to funding cut backs the park is running into disrepair more so with the closing of the bowling green and community centre.

We purchased:  Rakes, garden shears, spades & forks, kneeling pads, secateurs and gardening gloves.

We have also had help during the summer from Bolton Lions and Bolton pupils who were doing the volunteering towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards which was a great help to us. And hopefully we will continue to have that support in 2023.
