Hello Green Umbrella,

A small enthusiastic litter picking group was formed and equipment was purchased and provided pickers with High viz vests, hoops, pickers & safety gloves. With the coordination with the council all the green bags were left at various locations agreed with waste Management.

We have also been on the big group picks, which was amazing as you can pick up tips and also have a laugh with the dedicated enthusiast people of Bolton who are wanting to live in a cleaner Community.

During our time we have notice that some people are not educated enough to use the bins provide by the council and sometimes the comments that are made to us can be hurtful, but we pick that next piece of litter up and hold our heads high and say we are & we will make that difference to our area.

Our overall intentions to clean our community was a huge success and is ongoing but on a smaller scale due to ill health.

We would need another sheet of paper to list the amount of bags of Rubbish & items that has been shifted by Lever Edge pickers and our friends from other groups who have joined us on our organised big picks.
