BGU Grant Feedback 2024 HERA

HERA (Halliwell Environmental Ramblers Association) | Thursday 07 March 2024 | 0 Comments

Huge thanks for the BGU Grant.
How was the money spent?
Part of the money was used for educational equipment to enable a more efficient delivery of nature-based activities. The equipment consisted of wooden identification guides which have been simplified for use by young children with the aim of early engagement with their greenspaces. Several items of equipment were also purchased to enable tasks to be carried out on volunteer days.
How have you been able to improve the environment?
The tools have enabled us to continue with our conservation work on Seven Acres and the surrounding area. The impacts or education is not immediately measurable but the items have helped to provide a positive experience.
Has this had any positive effect on your volunteers?
The volunteers are very happy and always welcome new equipment.

How has this benefitted the local community?
Increased engagements from individuals and families
