We are a voluntary group who mainly litter pick in our local area (Halliwell/Heaton/Smithills) as well as occasionally joining with other litter picking groups across Bolton.
Our group litter picking activities are usually on Sunday morning but other sessions are hosted by group members.
We also facilitate solo litter picking by our group members.
We meet Weekly on Sundays between 9.00am and 10.30am.

Thank-you so much for the BGU Grant. The application process was easy and straightforward, and really useful information as well
The funding has been spent on purchasing equipment for litter picking that is not provided by Bolton council namely folding extra long litter pickers, home made litter picking trolleys, waterproof glove (spring sale) and extra thick winter gloves (winter sale), brush, shovel and rake.
We are trialling the folding extra long litter pickers for durability More.....
The Litter Pickers of Bolton West would like to thank Bolton Green Umbrella for the grant which enabled us to spend as follows:
£80 on winter gloves – very important! Hands get extremely cold
£60 on hoops to hold open the litter bag
£60 earmarked for publicity such as laminated posters, and paint for our planned wheel trim art project
