Multigroup clean up of Alders Lane

Litter Pickers of North Bolton | Monday 13 July 2020 | 0 Comments

The Litter Pickers of North Bolton teamed up with Andy of Astley Bridge Litter Pickers and Connor of Johnson Fold Litter Pickers to litterpick Alders Lane, which runs from Thicketford Road to the industrial estate in Firwood. It's a lovely lane with views over the fields with horses grazing, but used to be subject to regular horrible flytips. A gate was installed at the end of the road and this has reduced the fly-tip problem massively, so we were pleasantly surprised at the relatively small amount of litter collected. We still got about 80 bags though!! But it looks so much better.

We were very careful and observed social distancing as can be seen from the photo attached; please note this isn't ALL the volunteers who came along! There were several more who were still working at the time we took the photo.... thank-you to everyone
