The donation, so far has furnished us with 10 hoops and some graffiti remover. We have spent a total of £99.87

The local community really appreciate what we do to keep Harwood and Bradshaw looking tidy and litter free. The money has helped us to replace broken equipment but more importantly, provide new equipment for our new recruits. Picking with a hoop is so much more efficient increasing amount picked in time available. To my mind they are an essential. We have been able to enlist 4 new pickers to the team. We are a very active group who have cleared 555 bags of litter in the last 12 months. We have also cleared several fly tips from our country lanes.

Having worked so hard to clear litter, we were saddened to discover our village had been blighted by mindless graffiti. it looked awful. It was everywhere. So we extended our role and devised a plan to remove it. The Green Umbrella donation helped us to purchase grafitti remover. With a bit of hard graft we succeeded.

Thank you so much for the donation, I have considered having spare eqipment to use if we have events or in supporting schools/other groups to take part. So the remaining money is reserved for that.
